The news was made at NVPC’s Firm of Good Conference and Conferment held on July 20 at Fairmont Singapore, which in turn saw close to 700 business leaders gathered up.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong governed the function, offering the Champion of Good grants, while Senior Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth, and Trade and Sector Low Yen Ling provided the Firm of Good– 3 Hearts awards.
At the same time, 63 organisations were given the Champ of Good honor– the top tier of the recognition system– including Kuok (Singapore), Lendlease Global Commercial Trust Management, Mapletree Investments and TS Group.
A total of 481 services were identified as Companies of Good by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) this year, as the campaign noted its 10th anniversary. The acknowledgment honours organizations that create favorable social impact in Singapore.
Over the last three years, 1,046 acknowledged Companies of Good have mutually added nearly $384 million in cash donations, greater than $85 million in donations in-kind, and more than 1.1 million volunteer hours.
This year’s associate consists of 177 Business of Good– 1 Heart recipients, amongst them Colliers, Fraxtor, Craig Road Property, Ngee Koon, and Momentus Resort Alexandra.
“10 years on, Company of Good has already displayed that Corporate Objective is progressively becoming an important part of how organisations create value for their stakeholders and the wider culture,” states Tony Soh, PRESIDENT, NVPC.
An additional 113 companies received the Firm of Good– 3 Hearts recognition, consisting of 8M Property, Banyan Tree Holdings, Far East Orchard, OUE REIT Management and Savills (Singapore).
“As we look in advance, NVPC will concentrate on strengthening the community of Companies of Good and enabling organisations to learn from each other, collaborate across businesses and sectors and develop influence with each other,” includes Soh.
Small and medium-sized ventures accounted for the majority of recipients, making up 376 groups, or 78% of the total.
